So this weekend I slept in a tower...

The tower was 500s years old and, as far as we were concerned, definitely haunted. But that's beside the point.

My friends Lydie, Megan, Mikelle, and I got on a train to (once again) Naples this last Saturday morning and from there we took a metro-train to Sorrento, a picturesque ocean cliff town south of Naples. We didn't spend much time there. We did some exploring and shopping, and some picture-taking:

And as you can see it's gorgeous, but we had another place to go: Nettuno.

Nettuno is about an hour bus ride out of Sorrento and it was the windiest, most beautiful bus trip I've taken. We round through small mountain roads and warm olive groves until we finely began to descend into a valley set between two sets of high cliffs. From the top we could see the place where we were spending the night: our beautiful 500 year old tower!

Once down there, we discovered it was so cool!

Inside looked like a real tower too!

(not really)

View from our balcony:

We quickly put our stuff down and ran down the hill to go take in what little sun was left of the day!

Exploring back up to our castle:

Imagine waking up to this every morning:

So that morning we departed from Nettuno, said good-bye to our little tower and headed back to Sorrento where we picked up a ferry for none other than the island of Capri!

Here's the main port of Capri

And we decided to take a little tour around the island and here's what we saw:

It was so beautiful!!!

And then we climbed way way way up to the actual town of Capri and these views unfolded before us:

I've never seen water so blue in all of Italy and I can see why Capri is talked about so much.

All in all, a relaxing weekend full of beauty and quiet hours and fun times!
