Long Time No See: First Half of the Fall

So Perspectives is the name of UPS' Orientation program that I do every year. I have been a leader for the past three years and this year I was also the Skit Director. Perspectives is always a great time--lots of hard, long days though. We welcome the freshmen onto campus and take them on community service projects. It's awesome.

A few pictures of Perspectives:

Christina and I soaking up the sun:

Jenny (my new housemate) and I posing glamorously:

Alicia and me hanging out!

Travis and me. This is the guy I drove up and down with for winter break.

My friend Jaime (who I went to Rome with) and Magan.

Later that night Jaime insisted on making eggs for us....

Didn't turn out too well...

After Perspectives, the next major event was the AIDS Walk on September 6. It was a crazy day. After spending months trying to get it organized, asking people to donate, forming teams, making tons of phone calls, and a lot more physical labor than I would have expected, it all paid off. We raised over $100,000 for the foundation and all in all it was a very rewarding event. I slept well that night.

I designed these posters and ALSO secured funding for them. SUHWEET, eh?

Nani and me!

My friend Emily and me!

The AIDS Walk team, Rachelle, me, and Meghan. Great work guys!

The beautiful building in downtown Tacoma where I work, Old City Hall.

Well, that concludes the first part of my semester. Great times, a lot accomplished.
